Our Journey
Through the Years
The Beginning
Sophiahotel was founded with a clear vision: to create hotels that celebrate bold design and sincere hospitality. Our first property opened in Manchester, setting the stage for what was to come.
Expanding Horizons
With the success of Manchester, we expanded to Leeds, bringing our signature style to Yorkshire. Each hotel was unique, yet unmistakably Sophiahotel.
North to Scotland
Glasgow welcomed Sophiahotel, followed closely by Edinburgh. The expansion into Scotland marked a new chapter, with properties that celebrated local heritage while maintaining a contemporary edge.
Newcastle Arrives
Despite global challenges, we opened Sophiahotel Newcastle, our most ambitious project to date. A testament to resilience and our commitment to providing exceptional hospitality.
